Listen to your gut.
Listen to your intuition.
We’ve heard it all, but how do we do it? Our intuition is the inner guide that communicates to us. Sometimes this communication can warn us and keep us from harm.
Other times, it can help us make decisions for those important and exciting decisions we need to make or even the most simple tasks. When you begin to trust yourself something magical happens. I’d like to share with you tips to help you begin to trust yourself.
Do you know how powerful you are?
I didn’t know how powerful I was until just a few short years ago. I didn’t know that I had all the tools I needed within me for me to navigate through this life and manifest the life I desire. I now can admit that I was wrong.
Nothing magically or out of the ordinary happened to me for me to realize this. I was simply fed up and tired of my life and how certain people in my life treated me. I had to make a change.
I can trust myself and with confidence knowing that I have the ability, just like you, to make decisions for my life from a place of authenticity. I believe that starts with just being brutally honest with yourself about who you are, where you are, and where you want to go.
When I began to trust myself, everything in my life started to shift for the better. Of course, this didn’t happen overnight, it took time to develop the trust by listening to my intuition.
Although I still face challenges from time to time. Now, I am more confident in how I navigate through those challenges. Wisdom will provide you with more confidence to navigate through situations more easily.
Life is all about finding that balance, right? By allowing that inner knowing to help you navigate through situations, you begin to know when there is a time to move and a time to pause.
I believe two of the biggest blockages when developing that trust within are fear and doubt.
In order to trust, one must practice exploring through action once you’ve received a hunch or your intuition tells you something.
Why it’s important to trust yourself?
I believe it is important to trust yourself because when you do you can make decisions for yourself that benefit you. When we integrate the opinions of others in our decision making it carters to them, not to us. Our intuition guides us based on our past experiences (consciously and subconsciously) and memories. Our intuition is connected to our mind, body, and spirit.
Intuition is a process that gives us the ability to know something directly without analytic reasoning, bridging the gap between the conscious and nonconscious parts of our mind, and also between instinct and reason. -Francis P Cholle
What’s best for another isn’t always best for us. Therefore, I recommend that you listen to that inner voice when it first speaks to you.
Better than your parents, your spouse, or society. No one knows what’s best for you better than you do because you know what is going to make you happy. Even if you’re not one-hundred percent sure how things will turn out. You at least know how you want to feel throughout the experience, right?
So how do we attempt to tune in?
You can start practicing by first closing your eyes. Taking a deep breathe in and then exhale. Bring your awareness to your body, your hands, your feet, your legs, and your toes. Take another deep breath in and then exhale. Ask yourself a question and I recommend you first start with a simple question that requires a yes or no answer.
I did this exercise in the beginning so that I can be more aware of my inner voice. My body sends me signals that I am now aware of. This inner knowing takes time to develop. It all starts with becoming more aware. A lot of the time it is just tuning in that exact moment when the message comes into you.
How can I learn to trust myself?
(a) Self-awareness is a conscious knowledge of one’s own character, feelings, motives, and desires.
Following your intuition has everything to do with listening to your body. It’s a subtle signal and a message follows. The more in tuned you are with your body, thoughts, and feelings the better. Everyone is different and there isn’t one of doing things.
I am a firm believer — research and try what best’s works for you. I started to spend time alone so I can drown out the voices of others. When it got quiet in my environment I did the exercise above where I tune into my body. Then, I simply listen, respect my thoughts and feelings, and then I act on them. It does require some testing until you feel comfortable.
Practice and progress are key.
We often ignore that voice inside of us that tells us to, “go here” “don’t go there” “stop” “take a new route” “don’t do that” “do it”. There are many reasons why we would ignore that inner voice that is within all of us.
One person told me they prefer to make decisions based on a logic all of the time. If our intuition is connected to our mind, body, and spirit then if we only use our logic mind, I believe we are limiting ourselves. I rather tap in one-hundred percent instead of twenty-five percent. Would you?
With a little focus and awareness, we can drown out the noise we can tap into that inner knowing.
After becoming aware of our inner voice we can then choose to act or not act upon our intuition. When we take that message we received to put it into action we are more than likely to take action again. Especially, if it results in a pleasant experience. Therefore, the risk we originally thought we were taking becomes lesser.
Quiz: What kind of intuitive are you?
Everybody is intuitive on some level. Your intuition is your own inner guidance that helps direct you onto the right path. There are four main types of intuition and while we all use a combination of them, there’s usually one that stands out. Which one is your intuitive gift?

What happens when your intuition is blocked?
When your intuition is blocked you may feel unexcited or disengaged with life. You may feel like you don’t know a purpose in life or often feel stuck.
What are the signs of blockage?
- You rely on your logical mind to make decisions on your thoughts and actions.
- Negative events keep occurring in your life.
- You’re operating from your ego instead from a place of compassion.
- You place too much emphasis on what others think.
- You feel disconnected from yourself and your surroundings.
- Often feeling stuck from a lack of clarity.
How to unblock your intuition?
- Focus and Breathing exercises — You can start practicing by first closing your eyes. Taking a deep breathe in and then exhale. Bring your awareness to your body, your hands, your feet, your legs, and your toes. Take another deep breath in and then exhale. Ask yourself a question and I recommend you first start with a simple question that requires a yes or no answer.
- Write down your hunches when they come to you
- Focus more on the process instead of expectations and results
Spirituality: Third eye chakra
What is your third eye?
The third eye is our ability to see what might be, to see the potential. For example, when you have a hunch and act on it, you’ve used your third eye. But that’s only the beginning. Your third eye is a sense, one you can develop to be more refined and accurate than just being a hunch.
What does it have to do with your intuition?
The third eye isn’t using the logical thinking part of the mind. It taps into your intuition. As a result, if you begin to think the moment you get a vision it disrupts the third eye process. So you pause to stop the rest of your mind from ruining the third eye moment.
Spirituality: The Angel Number 111
What does 111 stand for?
The intuition which encourages you to keep following your spirit. You’re on the right path if you see this listen to your gut and your heart.
The number 111 is a sign that the gate of opportunity is open. The thoughts you are thinking are manifesting at record speed. It is the ideal time to make use of this manifestation. If you wait too long, you might miss your chance. Many also claim that the number 111 is a message from your angels or your spirit guide.
